Job Description
We are looking for an AWS Platform Engineer who carries experience in architecture of
Enterprise Data Warehouse implementation on AWS IAM, Redshift, S3, Glue, VPC,
CloudWatch and other relevant services including cluster and node topology, configuration,
and sizing. An ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing
AWS Redshift cluster, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. The
candidate should have experience with AWS Redshift, data warehousing, and SQL.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS Redshift clusters through Terraform IaC
  • Optimize and improve Redshift performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Support User SQL queries and issues.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with data governance policies.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cluster issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing
    preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand business requirements
    and optimize data models.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of Redshift architecture, processes, and procedure.
  • In-depth experience on AWS VPCs, Security groups, Subnets
  • Configure Enhanced VPC routing for Redshift clusters.
  • Provide operational management for Data Warehouse in AWS Redshift across all
    environments, including configuration, maintenance, code migration, and incident
    response.
  • Partner with the Analysts and Business Partners on data extracts as needed.
  • Solving complex redshift query performance issues, and
  • Hands on Experience in Redshift Snapshots, Recovery and DR designs.
  • Supporting the CICD pipeline build for Redshift cluster operations
  • Experience in Redshift users’ access and data permissions management including
    OKTA/MKA.
  • Hands on experience with Redshift audit logging and security enhancements.
  • Knowledge on Redshift Serverless service.
  • Excellent and proven knowledge of AWS Redshift and SQL demonstrate.
    Requirements (Must Have)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (such as Engineering, Computer Science,
    Statistics, Econometrics) and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Certified on AWS Solution Architect OR AWS Database Specialty
  • Minimum 3 years of extensive experience and exposure of platform engineering on AWS
    cloud environments will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years Hands-on experience in AWS RedShift.
  • Expertise in handling complex large-scale Warehouse environments
    Requirements (Good to Have)
  • Experience with other AWS services like EC2, RDS, and SageMaker
  • Knowledge of data governance and quality processes
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Certification in AWS or Redshift
